Civil War soldier grave dedication

PAW PAW – There will be a dedication of Alonzo Webster’s Civil War soldier gravestone marker at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fisk Cemetery near Paw Paw in Lee County.

The cemetery is 2.5 miles west of the Interstate 39 Paw Paw Chicago Road offramp, go west, then turn right on Fisk Road.

Battery G of the 2nd Illinois Light Artillery will fire a cannon salute and a Civil War period ceremony will follow, by the Lee County Historical and Genealogical Society.
