Witches and Warlocks Take Over Westclox

This Saturday, November 2, Peru's historic Westclox building will be playing host to a seasonal Witches and Warlocks themed party.

This event, organized by Westclox Properties, will be held primarily inside Star Union Spirits' beautiful event space from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., with fun activities and talented vendors scattered throughout the rest of the Westclox building.

Guests are encouraged to come dressed in witch and warlock garb, for their chance to place in one of three costume contest categories:

1.) Best Witch/Warlock Hat
2.) Best Witch/Warlock Costume
3.) Best Witch/Warlock Couples Costume

The costume contest judging will begin at 8 p.m, with a 50/50 raffle to follow. EJ Rodriguez Photography will also be on site, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m, offering photos of your costumes, for both groups and individuals.

Live entertainment will be provided throughout the evening by DJ Mindee Beth, Strangerz and The Hocus Pocus Hags. There will even be a dance floor, for those looking to cut lose after a few signature "witches brews". From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m, tarot card readers, palm readers, and mediums will be scattered throughout the building, offering fitting and fun activities.

Speaking of, the Halloween classic Hocus Pocus will be screened at the connected NCIArtworks space during the event, along with fresh popcorn provided by Utica's delectable Flutterby Popcorn. The film is slated to run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Westclox's own Three Little Birds Cafe will be providing some delicious dinner items, like Italian Beef Brain Sliders, Walking Dead Tacos and Cold Cut Coffins.

Grandma Rosie's Wood Fire Pizza, Didoughs Pretzels and Cows Coffee will also be on site, offering food and snacks during the event. Vendors will have booths set up throughout the evening (5 p.m. to 9 p.m.), offering locally crafted artisan goods. Early ticket purchasers will also be given special passports, that can be stamped by these vendors to earn you special prizes!

Star Union Spirits will be serving up a special "witches brew", made with their own hand-made, small batch, spirits. This signature mixed drink has been concocted special for the Witches and Warlocks party, so be sure to drop by and try a glass for yourself!

Numerous art organizations and businesses throughout the Westclox building will be of offering special extended hours, so be sure check out the official Facebook page for up the minute information on who will be participating.

Over 400 tickets to Witches and Warlocks of Westclox have already been sold, so be sure to mark your calendar for this fun-filled night of community support, appreciation of the arts and spooky seasonal celebration.
