Trees to decorate Northland Mall

Rock River Hospice & Home’s 30th Annual Festival of Trees will be held at Northland Mall, 2900 E. Lincolnway, Sterling, from Nov. 19-24. This great event has become a local holiday favorite and features a number of local artists, businesses and organizations, families and kids decorating trees. The trees feature their own theme selected by the decorators, including At the Beach, Christmas Time for All Ages, Country, Christmas Past – Red Truck Theme, Cardinals Appear When Angels are Near, and more.

Everyone is welcome to come watch decorators build this year’s Christmas forest on Sunday, Nov. 17 and Monday, Nov. 18. Once the trees are in place visitors can come throughout the week to bid on their favorite trees in hopes of making it part of their holiday trimming. Trees must be paid for at the close of the silent auction at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24. Buyers have the option of having their tree delivered directly to their home or place of business (mileage restrictions apply), just in time for Thanksgiving!
