Tree of Lights campaign begins

PRINCETON — The Perry Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Tree of Lights kicked off its annual campaign at the Auxiliary Candy Cane event on Nov. 8.

Since 1990, more than $106,000 has been raised and donated to the hospital for needed equipment. This year’s donations to the Tree of Lights will be used to purchase an AccuVein Infared Vein Finder to be shared among the nursing units. The vein finder will improve the accuracy of first sticks especially in “hard to stick” veins, which will improve the patient’s overall experience.

Special stars will be hanging at Perry Memorial Hospital on the tree located in the main lobby entrance. A donation to the Tree of Lights is a unique way to express appreciation by honoring loved ones, friends, teachers, special groups and others. It is also a special way to memorialize someone who has left behind countless memories and friendships.

A donation of $10 will hang a small star on the tree and a donation of $100 will hang a large star on the tree. When a donation of $20 or more is given, an acknowledgment card will be sent to the person or family the donation is honoring.
