Laurel Bierman

STERLING – Laurel Bierman, 68, of Sterling died November 6, 2019, at her home.

Laurel was born in Sterling on May 15, 1951, to Leo and Mary Ann (Hayes) Johnson.

She graduated from Sterling High School in 1969. Laurel worked at Mably Center in Dixon as a mental health technician. Prior to that she trained and showed horses for Atherton Arabians in Walnut, IL.

Survivors include one son, Nicholas Bierman, of Las Vegas, NV; two sisters, Linda Robinson of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Lissa Phoenix of Tacoma, Washington; two nieces, Christa Laszczkowski of Mt. Prospect, IL, and Kelly Kyer of Highland Park, IL.

Memorial service will be at 7 p.m., Tuesday November 19, 2019, at Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation, Sterling, with Reverend Daniel Behmlander, officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., prior to services.  Cremation rites have been accorded.

A memorial has been established.
