Welcoming in the holiday season, Oswego High School and Oswego East High School have announced the information for their upcoming winter concerts.
All bands and choirs at OEHS will take part in the annual Winter Concert at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Dec. 3, in the OEHS Performing Arts Center. Approximately 500 students will perform at each concert, featuring a medley of modern and traditional holiday songs. Tickets are $1, with proceeds going to the Music and Memory Foundation, which brings personalized music into the lives of the elderly and infirm through digital music technology.
Down the road at OHS, more than 500 high school band and choir students will take part in the school's 25th annual Crystals concerts, at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., Dec. 7, and at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., Dec. 8, in the Barnes Performing Arts Center. The long-running concert series has no applause until the end of the show, when all band and choir students, as well as the audience, join together to sing carols for the finale. Tickets are $10, and are reserved seating only.
Tickets for both shows will go on sale beginning Nov. 20, at www.sd308.org/tickets, and can also be purchased at the Box Office, located inside OHS, or at the door the night of the OEHS concerts.
