LaChele Renee Cunningham

LEE CENTER – LaChele Renee Cunningham, 64, went to be with her Lord in Heaven Friday, November 22, 2019 at Dixon Rehabilitation Center, with her loving family by her side.

LaChele was born May 13, 1955, in Graceville, MN, to Wallace Dale Burdick and LaJean Marie Burdick. She moved to Polo, IL where she graduated high school in 1973.

LaChele married the love of her life, Royce L. Cunningham on May 21, 1977 in Polo, IL. They had celebrated 42 wonderful years together.

LaChele is survived by her husband, Royce; her children, Andrew (Cyndi) Cunningham of Rochelle, Timothy Cunningham of Rock Falls, and LaRena Cunningham of Lee Center; eight grandchildren, Chandler, Trenton, Easton, Jilleeanne, Jennifer, Timothy, Taelin, and LaHelah; one brother, Terry (Irene) Burdick of Rock Falls and many, many in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

laChele was preceded in death by her parents; Royce's parents, J.R. and Joyce Cunningham; two brothers, Llyn (Billy) Burdick, and Neale Burdick; two sisters, LaRee (Vernon) Rasmussen and Vickie Burdick and one granddaughter, Gracie Dawn Cunningham.

Besides spending time with her family and friends, LaChele enjoyed scrapbooking, crosswords, reading, and gardening. She volunteered many years of her life at the Leydig Center in Dixon, IL, and was also a bartender at the Green River Saddle Club for several years. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life.

Cremation rites have been accorded and burial of cremains will be at a later date.
