Ila Leaf

ROCK FALLS – Ila Leaf, 93, of Rock Falls passed away on Friday, November 29, 2019, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Ila was born on October 20, 1926, in Rock Falls, the daughter of C. Leland and Gladys (Forsee) Lee. She married Sam Leaf on June 24, 1945. He passed away on November 23, 1998. Together they had five sons and one daughter. Ila was a full time wife, homemaker, mother, nurse, cook, baker and referee. You name it, she had it covered. She was a lifelong member of the Rock Falls United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her sons, Terry (Sandy) Leaf, Jim Leaf, Doug (Chrissy) Leaf, all of Sterling and Jack (Wynee) Leaf and Mike (Sherry) Leaf of Rock Falls; grandchildren, Becky (Jim), Jenny (Tim), Keri, Raechelle (Kyle), Rian (Amanda), Sean (Tosha), Megan (Beau), Alex and Dylan; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her daughter, Sally in infancy.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 9 to 10:30 a.m., followed by the funeral at 10:30 a.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home, 1002 12th Avenue in Rock Falls. The Reverend Soloman Sudhaker officiating. Burial will conclude at Coloma Twp. Cemetery.
