Robert “Pops” Waltz Jr.

Robert Earl "Pops" Waltz Jr., 58, of Peru passed away the evening of Dec. 3, 2019, in his home, surrounded by his family.
A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Dec. 29, 2019, in the Knights of Columbus hall, La Salle. Arrangements are through Mueller Funeral Home, Peru.
Mr. Waltz was born Dec. 29, 1960, in Sheri-dan, Mich., to Robert Earl and Jody (Jodon) Waltz. He married Theresa Bradish on July 28, 1987, in Peoria. He was a carpenter who loved his family and Harleys.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa; seven children, Candie (Jeff) Schweigen of Marseilles, Jessica (Jason) Hassler of Princeton, Adam Waltz of Ventura, Calif., Christopher Waltz of Chicago, Kasie (Jose) Rodriguez of La Salle, Tiffany Waltz of La Salle and Cynthia Waltz of La Salle; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his parents, Robert (Cynthia) Waltz Sr. of Austin, Texas and Jody (Richard) Janke of Phoenix, Ariz.; his brother, Cameron (LeAnne) Waltz of San Antonio, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Faith Hassler; his grandparents, Walt and Grace Jodon and Arthur and Mary Waltz; his aunt and uncle, Elaine and Art Waltz; his in-laws, Eleanor McCann and Tom and Roxie Bradish; and his beloved friend, Levi Lightner.
