High school sports roundup for Monday, Dec. 9

Richmond-Burton’s Peyton Bannon scored 27 points in the Rockets' 42-39 nonconference win over Genoa-Kingston on Monday in Richmond.

Bannon made 10 field goals, including three 3-pointers. Rachel Baker contributed 10 points for R-B (3-5).

Winnebago 65, Marengo 55: At Winnebago, Marengo's Jennifer Heinberg made eight 3-pointers and shot 2 of 2 from the free-throw line, scoring 26 points for the Indians in a nonconference loss. Heinberg made six 3s in the second half. Marengo (6-3) scored 39 of its 55 points in the second half.

Marengo’s Alexis Kunde scored eight points. Lilly Johnson, Jordan Parker and Kierra Morris each scored six points.

Jacobs 46, Larkin 39: At Algonquin, the Golden Eagles (3-4) won in nonconference action.

BOYS BOWLING

Grayslake Central 3,470, Johnsburg 3,120: At Raymond's Bowl in Johnsburg, Johnsburg's Landon Banaszynski bowled a team-high 571 series with a high game of 215 in Johnsburg's loss.

Blake Radtke rolled a 536 series, Evan Halverson bowled a 535, and Brad Wizceb contributed a 503. Andrew Ardon added a 491 and Jon Arnold bowled a 484.

GIRLS BOWLING

Woodstock 2,558, Johnsburg 2,124: At Kingston Lanes in Woodstock, the Blue Streaks' Alli Fansler bowled a career-high 200 in the first game. Ceri Deacon's 202 in the second game also was a personal best. Hal Sardelli led Woodstock with a 146 in the third game.

Johnsburg’s Kassidee Beasley bowled a 382 series, and Kami Barger bowled a 378 series.
