Carl G. Stange

STERLING – Carl G. Stange, age 91, of Sterling, died Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Rock River Hospice and Home.

Carl was born August 25, 1928 in Sterling the son of Conrad and Nettie (Stern) Stange. He married Beverly Martin on February 16, 1951 in Sterling. She preceded him in death on July 31, 2006. Carl was employed at Northwestern Steel and Wire for 34 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping and tractor pulling.

He is survived by three sons, George (Diane) Stange, Rick (Pamela) Stange and Larry (Shawn) Stange, all of Sterling; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; two sisters, Lola Verbout and Clara Davis; and one brother, Lyle Henry Stange.

Cremation rites will be accorded. Private burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.
