Plainfield High School – Central Campus names principal

Plainfield High School – Central Campus Associate Principal Chris Chlebek will serve next year as PHSCC’s principal, replacing Dave Stephens who is retiring next summer.

Current Superintendent of Schools Lane Abrell, who was then the school’s principal, hired Chlebek in 1999 to teach social studies at Plainfield High School.

Chlebek taught at PHS until 2005, then moved to Plainfield North High School when it opened in 2005. He served as social studies/English division chair for three years.

In 2008, Chlebek helped open Plainfield East High School as the assistant principal for curriculum and instruction. He moved to PHSCC in 2018 as associate principal for curriculum and instruction.

Chlebek received the 2017 Lewis University College of Education’s Educationis Lumen (or, “Light of Education”) Award.
