Adam and Darlene Passini Jr. will celebrate 60th wedding anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Adam Passini Jr. of Florid will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary.

Adam Passini Jr. and the former Darlene Dowling were married Jan. 30, 1960, in St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in Chicago by the Rev. John J. O’Shea. Their attendants were Rita Passini, maid of honor; Joyce Grant, Mary Kay Huczek and Rose Cali, bridesmaids; Barney Bima, best man; and Pat Passini, Jim Passini and Carl Blanchard, groomsmen.

The couple are the parents of five children, Adam (Edith) Passini III, Gregory (Wanda) Passini, Donna (Mark) Nieslawski, Patty (James) Shaw and Linda Buffington. They also have nine grandchildren, the late Adam Passini IV (Little Adam), Nick and Tony Passini, Jeff and Abby Nieslawski, Amanda Kaad and Emily Nadler, and Sydney Buffington and Jack Buffington; and four great-grandchildren, Adam M. Passini, and Jaclynn, Emma and Meredith Ridge.

Adam is a retired farmer and part-time police officer. Darlene is a retired counselor from Business Employment Skills Team.
