DeKALB – Ahead of the 2020 Census, the United States Census Bureau is looking to fill up to 2,800 temporary jobs in DeKalb County in the next 60 days.
According to a news release from the bureau, these jobs will include census takers and office personnel, and pay $22 to $24 an hour. Work schedules will depend on your availability and could include daytime, weekend or evening hours, either on-site or at home depending on responsibilities.
To be eligible, you must be at least 18 years old, have a valid Social Security number and be a United States citizen, according to www.census.gov.
Candidates must complete an online job application, which includes assessment questions about your education, work and other experiences.
Most positions are estimated to last multiple weeks, but employment will be based on work availability, the website states.
Temporary census employees will be paid once a week, according to the website, and include mileage reimbursement for any driving done on the job.
