Putnam County High School inducted Scott Parker, Class of 1983 (third from left), and Kari Haines, Class of 2006 (second from left), into its Hall of Fame on Jan. 10 between the sophomore and varsity boys basketball games against Seneca. Parker was a two-time state qualifier in cross country, and he placed fourth at the state meet in 1982. In track and field, he qualified for state in three events over two years and placed fourth in the 1,600 meters in 1983. He holds the school records in the 800 (1:58.7) and the 1,600 (4:22.91). Haines was a three-time state qualifier in the shot put and placed seventh as a senior in 2006. She holds the school record in the event at 40 feet, 4 1/2 inches.
