USA Judo Olympic coach, champion seminar set in St. Charles

Event scheduled for Feb. 8 at Olympus Jiu-Jitsu

ST CHARLES – USA Judo Olympic coach Jimmy Pedro will instruct a three-hour Judo seminar from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 8 at Olympus Jiu-Jitsu, 1501 Indiana Ave. Unit 1A, St. Charles, according to a news release from Tom Wheeler, owner of Olympus Jiu-Jitsu.

“The Summer Olympics are being held in Tokyo, Japan the home and origin of Judo this year and I can think of no better way to commemorate that than by hosting a seminar featuring him. He is an Olympic Judo medalist himself and he in turn makes Olympic champions,” Wheeler stated in the news release.

According to the release, world champion Jimmy Pedro is one of the most decorated Judo players in American history. Jimmy is world renowned for his Judo expertise, coaching ability and training methods.

“This is an amazing opportunity to receive instruction from someone who represents our country so well on the world stage and has produced such amazing champions,” Wheeler stated.
