DIXON – Lois P. Funk, age 93, of Lombard, and formerly of Dixon, died peacefully Saturday, January 25, 2020. She was born August 5, 1926, in Elmhurst, the daughter of Bernard and Phyllis (Vering) Klose. Lois married Robert J. Funk May 31, 1947, at St. Liborius Catholic Church in Steger. He preceded her in death Oct. 5, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ted Klose; and son-in-law, Dave Churney.
Lois is survived by her daughters, Barb (Terry) Walker of Champaign, Sue (Bill) Tinker of Tampa, FL, Chris (Dan) Pierce of Oregon, Karen Churney of Oregon; her brother, Jerome (Ruth) Klose of Olympia Fields; 8 grandchildren, Paul (Missy) Chromek, Kelly Chromek, Michael (Raquel) Tinker, Brian (Wendy) Tinker, Kathryn (Lee) Calmes, Christa (Derick) Furr, Nicholas (Jamie) Sutherland, and Danielle (Troy) Kedroske; and many great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at 10 a.m.. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dixon, with the Rev. Keith Romke officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday, February 3, 2020, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home in Dixon.
