Spring Valley Lions collect food for pantry

With this donation, the food pantry was able to purchase $1,500 from the River Bend Food Bank. Lions Club members stood outside the Spring Valley Supermarket, passing out a pantry wish list, in order to collect the 437 pounds of food. The food pantry serves residents of Arlington, Bureau, Cherry, Dalzell, DePue, Hollowayville, Ladd, Seatonville and Spring Valley. Each year, for the past several, Spring Valley Lions have set aside a Saturday to collect food for the pantry, knowing the winter months are especially hard on families in need.
