Several Metra trains were not in operation on Tuesday morning after a train derailed at Crystal Lake Yard.

The derailment ended up being cleared at 10:25 a.m. Tuesday.

Customers dealt with 30 minute delays before the derailment was fixed, however, according to the Union Pacific-Northwest.

The No. 624 train, set to depart from Crystal Lake at 7 a.m., was one of the trains that did not operate during this time.

At 8:15 a.m., a crane was brought in to move the train back on to the track.

Tom Miller, a spokesman for Metra, said there were no passengers in the train that derailed. It was an equipment train, Miller said.

Because of the derailment, Miller said, some trains Tuesday morning were canceled, while others made stops they normally wouldn't make, and others skipped some stops.
