The Sycamore girls bowling team won the Interstate 8 championship in its first year in the conference and for its fifth title overall, posting a 6,883 to cruise to the win.
LaSalle-Peru was in second in the tournament with a 6,297.
Sycamore finished with 111 out of 115 points, while Morris was second overall on the year with 83 points while the Cavaliers were third with 74.
Senior Megan Kolberg rolled a 1,404 and was a conference champion for the third straight year. Kolberg opened the afternoon series with a 279, rolling nine straight strikes to start the game.
"I've run out of superlatives for her," Sycamore coach Andy Hampton said. "I've been here a while, and I have been involved in bowling for nearly 40 years, and I have never seen anything like her before. She's the greatest bowler I have ever seen, and that only scratches the surface of her as an individual."
Junior Maddie Lathrop was third with a 1,193 and Alexis Munch was fifth with a 1,150 for Sycamore. Kaneland's Alexis Vital was fourth with a 1,160.
"Listen, Megan is Megan, and making four all-conference teams is a rare feat," Hampton said. "Maddie is going to have a chance to do that next year, but I cannot be any happier for an individual than I am for Alexis (Munch). I push her hard, mostly because she responds to those challenges. She rises to that. I tell her 'You need to do this, and I am going to be on you until you do that.' And then she goes out and does it. I'm very happy for her."
