STERLING – Emilio Celestino Jr., 64, of Sterling, IL, died on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, IL.

Emilio was born in Sterling on October 7, 1955, the son of Emilio and Elsie (Echartea) Celestino Sr. He was employed at Raynor for many years. Emilio was an extremely hard worker, with a heart of gold. He enjoyed working out and loved his grandchildren.

Survivors include his mother, Elsie Echartea of Sterling; two daughters, Marina (Terry) Celestino, and Vanessa (Brandon) Ward, both of Sterling; three sisters, Cynthia (Terry) Morgan of Albany, Elena (Rey) Montiel, and Martha (Justin) Celestino, both of Sterling; two brothers, Rudy (Paula) Celestino, and Sabas (Jennifer) Celestino both of Sterling; and 9 grandchildren.

Emilio was preceded in death by his father, Emilio Sr; and infant son, Emilio Celestino III.

Visitation will be held from 1 - 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 9, 2020, at McDonald Funeral Home, Sterling. Emilio loved the Chicago Bulls and the family welcomes guests to wear Bulls attire.
