Minooka's cheerleading team is back at state after missing out last season. The Indians for five years from 2014-2018 and this is their seventh appearance in the state finals.
The Indians qualified for this weekend's competition in Bloomington after taking fifth place in the Large Team division with an 88.92 total at the Joliet Central Sectional. The squad's head coach is Kelly Bielec and Johanna Fiedler is the assistant coach.
Members of the team include Ellie Bartuch, Mia Bibian, Kendyll Chigi, Jordanna Cortes, Kimberly Geghardt, Natalie Gonzalez, Quincy Harris, Jordyn Judge, Chloe Kokalj, Ella Leitherer, Addison Otto, Easton Otto, Keaghan Otto, Sierra Perez, Haylee Schultz, Savannah Schumacher, Ava Taranto and Morgan Troyner.
