Morris a staple at state cheer finals

Here's the members of Morris' state-qualifying cheerleading team. Morris has sent teams to the IHSA Competitive Cheerleading finals in all but one of the 15 years that the competition has taken place and this year is no exception as the squad joins the club and will compete in this weekend's finals in Bloomington.

They advanced after taking second place in the Merdium Team division at the Farmington Sectional with a score of 88.09. The team's head coach is Ali Ergo and her assistants are Ericka Steck and Grace Ergo.

Members of the team are Mariya Anderson, Frances Cummings, Taylor Ericson, Emily Estensen, Mackenzie Gerischer, Olivia Jenkins, Maddy Knapp, Abby McKinney, Haylee Nicolaides, Lillian Ochoa, Ava Ostrem, Adriana Plascencia, Grace Scott, Devin Stapleton, Amber Tessone and Ava Trotter.
