Dixon schools set tentative graduation, prom dates

DIXON– Dixon schools announced tentative alternate dates for end-of-school activities, including high school graduation.

Graduation, tentatively scheduled for May 31, may be moved to June 21 or Aug. 2, depending on when the COVID-19 situation eases.

High school prom is June 19, but may be rescheduled for July 31 if need be.

Senior awards night is May 6, with June 17 or July 29 as alternates.

Reagan Middle School's eighth-grade promotion is May 26, with June 22 or Aug. 3 as alternates.

"We will update these dates as we are provided more information," Superintendent Margo Empen said in a news release. "We thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate these uncharted waters."
