The Jackson Street bridge in downtown Joliet is scheduled to close for a week starting Monday.
The city of Joliet issued a news release reminding the public of the closure previously announced by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
The bridge is expected to reopen April 24.
IDOT also plans one-week closures through May of the Des Plaines River drawbridges at Cass, Jefferson and McDonough streets for installation of fiber optic cables that will be used to control the bridges from a central office.
