Singer-songwriter Eric Peter Schwartz to star in 'Livestream on Broadway at The Venue'

The Venue, the 200-currently-empty-seat music performance space in downtown Aurora, will deliver a livestream performance by singer-songwriter Eric Peter Schwartz at 8 p.m. Monday, April 20.

The show will be livestreamed via Facebook, and direct donations can be made at themusicvenue.org, a news release stated. Proceeds from the show benefit the performing artist and the Fox Valley Music Foundation, which operates the concert space.

The new series from The Venue and the Fox Valley Music Foundation, titled "Livestream on Broadway at The Venue," will be presented at 8 p.m. each Monday from The Venue page on Facebook at www.facebook.com/TheVenueAurora.

“Eric Peter Schwartz will be a bright light addition to our Monday night series,” promises Fox Valley Music Foundation President Dave Glynn.

Aurora’s own Eric Peter Schwartz is a singer-songwriter who’s been traveling the U.S., playing his brand of pop-laced acoustic rock.

"It's pretty simple, Schwartz stated in the release. "I'm a guy with a guitar, driving around the country, telling stories, expressing love, expelling demons, healing heartache and trying like hell to entertain people."

Glynn invites everyone to join the virtual gathering.

“He’s grounded like everyone else right now, but Eric’s dying to put on a show for everyone," Glynn said. “No need to put quarters in the juke box, but a donation will go a long way for both the performing artist and The Venue. These are tough times for musical artists and music rooms like ours. We are so glad that we can continue the entertainment while we all shelter in a safe place.”

Next livestream artist

Dave Nelson, Heartsfield member and guitarist extraordinaire, will livestream from The Venue at 8 p.m. April 27, Glynn said.
