Will County prosecutors are seeking the forfeiture of more than $60,000 in cash, 30 pairs of shoes, two TVs, stocks, bonds and gift cards from a believed to have conducted a “major drug dealing enterprise” in the county, court records show.
On Thursday, Will County Assistant State’s Attorney Dant Foulk filed a forfeiture complaint against Terrence Graham, 46, who has been charged with possession of cocaine and intent to deliver cocaine. Graham has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Foulk’s complaint said Will County Cooperative Police Assistance Team agents performed an undercover investigation between January and March that revealed Graham was dealing crack cocaine in the area of Houbolt Road and Interstate 80 in Joliet.
The investigation and surveillance of Graham led CPAT agents to believe he was “conducting a major drug dealing enterprise in the Will County area,” the complaint said.
When agents executed a search warrant on Graham and his Joliet residence on March 12, they recovered 5.2 grams of crack cocaine and $1,168 from Graham’s rental vehicle and $500 from Graham’s pants, the complaint said.
The owner of the residence told agents she did not approve of Graham’s drug dealing and attempted to “kick him out of the house,” the complaint said.
The agents learned Graham had not been legally employed since 2015 and his only source of income over the past year was selling crack and cocaine, the complaint said.
The agents investigated Graham’s financial accounts at several banks and believed they were subject to forfeiture because he lacked a legitimate source of income and he admitted he had not been employed for five years, the complaint said.
Foulk’s complaint argued for the forfeiture of about $62,728 in cash, stocks, bonds, gift cards, 30 pairs of shoes, two TVs, a Dolby surround sound system, HDMI cord, a TV cord cover, a TV wall mount and 10 watches.
The complaint said Graham possessed 26 pairs of Air Jordan shoes, three pairs of Kevin Durant shoes and one pair of Gucci shoes.
