Antioch Pizza in Woodstock temporarily closes

Antioch Pizza in Woodstock announced Monday that it will temporarily close after an employee tested positive for COVID-19, according to the restaurant’s Facebook post.

Antioch Pizza, located at 150 S Eastwood Drive, received confirmation Sunday night that an employee at the Woodstock location had tested positive for the virus.

As a precautionary measure, the restaurant will deep clean and sanitize during the closure.

The Antioch location, at 994 Illinois Route 59, also will temporarily close after it learned a family member of an employee at the location has been confirmed with COVID-19.

Antioch Pizza also will deep clean the Fox Lake facility, located at 20 S. Route 12, although there is no evidence of the virus at the location.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends 14 days of quarantine. The employees have not been at either site for seven days, according to Antioch Pizza’s Facebook post.

The three locations will close for a minimum of seven days to meet CDC requirements and will reopen May 11.

As an increased safety measure, Antioch Pizza will be moving completely to curbside and delivery at all facilities. The Fox Lake location will have drive-thru and delivery.

The Lindenhurst, Burlington and Paddock Lake locations still are open for business.
