Late last month, Route 34 Drive-In Theatre owner Ron Magnoni said he knows people are eager to get out and do things.
Magnoni indicated he wanted to work out his plans after consulting with health officials.
The drive-in at Earlville will reopen May 15 to 17 and May 22 to 25, showing a PG-rated double-feature: Pixar's "Onward" and "Spies in Disguise," according to a message from Magnoni on the theater answering machine.
He urged customers to remain patient and abide by rules that will be outlined for them. He said he is accepting cash only; everyone must follow social-distancing rules when not in their cars; and the sound is available on FM car stereo.
Masks must be worn if entering the building, according to the message.
The next double bill will show "Call of the Wild" and "Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker," beginning May 29.
