Bria of Geneva continues to report largest COVID-19 outbreak with 112 cases, 22 deaths

Arden Courts of Geneva reported 6 cases, no deaths

The Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting 565 outbreak cases of coronavirus and 70 deaths in 21 Kane County long term care facilities, including nursing homes, assisted living, rehabilitation centers and a residential facility for children as of Friday afternoon.

It lists Bria of Geneva, at 1101 E. State St., Geneva, with the highest number of cases at 112, and the highest number of deaths at 22, according to the website, dph.illinois.gov.

The Kane County Coroner’s data lists 23 deaths related to Bria of Geneva because his information shows a person was living there before they died at an area hospital.

After Bria, the next highest number of cases were confirmed at Tower Hill Health Care Center, 759 Kane St., South Elgin, with an outbreak of 108 cases and six deaths.

Symphony of Orchard Valley, 2330 W. Galena Blvd., Aurora, had the next highest number of confirmed cases, 91, and 10 deaths.

Fox River Rehab & Healthcare, 2355 Royal Blvd., Elgin, had 43 cases and 10 deaths.

Asbury Gardens Nursing & Rehab, 212 Airport Road, North Aurora, had 41 cases and four deaths.

Avondale Estates of Elgin Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 1760 Capital Street, Elgin, reported 30 cases and one death.

An assisted living facility, Bickford of Aurora, 7 S. Orchard Road, Aurora, had 28 reported cases and seven deaths.

Elmwood Terrace Healthcare Center, 1017 W. Galena Blvd., Aurora, reported 27 cases and four deaths.

Alden of Waterford Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, 2021 Randi Drive, Aurora, had 27 cases and five deaths, while Alden Courts of Waterford, 1991 Randi Drive, Aurora, had seven cases and no deaths.

The Grove of St. Charles, 611 Allen Lane, St. Charles reported nine cases and no deaths.

A retirement and assisted living center, Sunnymere, 925 Sixth Ave., Aurora, reported seven cases and no deaths.

Arden Courts of Geneva, 2388 Bricher Road, Geneva, had six cases and no deaths, as did retirement community River Glen, 975 N. Fifth Ave., St. Charles.

Citadel of Elgin, 180 S. State St., Elgin, reported five cases and no deaths.

A secure residential treatment facility for children, teens and young adults up to age 21, Northern Illinois Academy, 998 Corporate Blvd., Aurora, reported four cases and no deaths.

The Grove of Fox Valley, 1601 N. Farnsworth Ave., Aurora, reported four cases and no deaths.

A retirement community, Presence Fox Knoll, 421 N. Lake St., Aurora, and GreenFields of Geneva, 0N801 Friendship Way, Blackberry Township, had three cases and no deaths,

An assisted living facility Jennings Terrace, 275 S. Lasalle St., Aurora, reported two cases and no deaths; Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Care, 355 Raymond St., Elgin,reported two cases and one death.
