Lemont and Lockport Fire Departments receive donations for children's programs

COUNTRY Financial representative Gary Bronner presented donations of $500 each to the Lemont and Lockport Fire Departments for children’s programs.

The donations are funded by COUNTRY Financial's Operation Helping Heroes program, which supports first responder and healthcare organizations. Bronner also made a donation of $750 to Lemont Police Department in March of 2020 through the same program.
 
"Every day these heroes are putting themselves in harm's way to protect us, and I wanted to give back in some way to show my appreciation," Bronner said in a news release from COUNTRY Financial.

COUNTRY Financial will donate $3 million in 2020 to organizations and programs that support first responders and active duty service members, supporting the company’s vision to “enrich lives in the communities we serve, according to the news release.

The Operation Helping Heroes program was created in 2015 to support non-profit events and programs that benefit active duty service members, veterans and their families.  In 2019, COUNTRY Financial expanded the program and donated $700,000 to approximately 500 first responder and military organizations.
