'We are here to support you' DeKalb County law enforcement comes to stand with demonstrators:

DeKALB - Scene right now outside of the DeKalb Police Department. Law enforcement from DeKalb, Sycamore, DeKalb County Sheriff's Department, DeKalb County State's Attorney Rick Amato and city officials come outside to join with demonstrators.

DeKalb interim Police Chief John Petragallo also on scene, along with incoming interim chief Bob Redel, who said, "We are here to support you. We'd like to kneel with you."

Sycamore Police Chief Jim Winters, County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Andy Sullivan, Northern Illinois University Chief Tom Phillips, City Manager Bill Nicklas, Ward 1 Alderman Carolyn Morris and other law enforcement officials joined.
