Seven Steamers announce college plans

Fulton High School Steamers

FULTON – Seven Fulton High seniors have finalized their plans to play college sports.

Jake Pannell will play football at Wisconsin-Platteville. He had 18 catches for 224 yards and three touchdowns for the Steamers in 2019. UW-Platteville is coming off a 7-3 season.

Emily Schipper and Ally Curley will play volleyball at Augustana College. Schipper led the area with 397 kills in 2019 and also had 231 digs, 52 aces and 35 blocks. Curley had 275 digs. Augustana went 13-19 last year.

Megan Bailey will play volleyball at Sauk Valley Community College. She had 156 kills and 43 blocks for the Steamers last season. She joins a Skyhawks team coming off a 28-13 season.

Sara Norman will swim at Olivet Nazarene. She and her sisters, as well as Kate Henson, took second in the 200 medley relay at the United Township Sectional this past season. She joins a Tigers team coming off a fourth-place finish at the NAIA National Championships in March.

Sadie Norman will swim at Calvin College. She joins a Knights team which qualified seven swimmers and divers for the NCAA Division III National Championships.

Sydney Norman will run track at Clarke University. She qualified for state in the high jump as a junior in 2019.
