Bureau Valley High School NHS donates to Second Story Teen Center

MANLIUS — The Bureau Valley High School National Honor Society presented a $300 donation to the Second Story Teen Center in Princeton on June 2.

The donation was received in the form of a LifeSavings Grant on behalf of the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center from the blood drive that was held at Bureau Valley High School in January and sponsored by the National Honor Society.

The mission of the Second Story Teen Center is to offer the young people of Bureau County, grades 6-12, a sense of purpose and acceptance by providing an inclusive social atmosphere of companionship, and encouraging conversation. The donation will be used in their pantry to provide free nonperishable food items, hygiene products, and other basic needs to youths in the program.
