Criminal damage to
government-supported property

Yorkville police are investigating an incident of vandalism in which an unknown subject vandalized a swing set with a permanent marker May 21 in the 800 block of Prairie Crossing Drive. Damages were estimated at $1,000. The investigation is ongoing.

Boot theft

Yorkville police are investigating the reported theft of boots, valued at $66.99, made at 7:17 p.m. May 26 in the 200 block of East Center Street.

Failure to yield

Yorkville police cited Cyrenna Wright, 23, of the 4900 block of West Gunnison Street, Chicago, for failure to yield at an intersection and operating an uninsured motor vehicle after responding to a traffic accident at 9:14 p.m. May 26 at the intersection of Corneils Road and Route 47. Wright and a passenger were transported to an area hospital to receive treatment.

DUI arrest

Yorkville police arrested Richard Cuda, 52, of the 2500 block of Crabtree Avenue, Woodridge, on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol after conducting a traffic stop at 9:20 p.m. May 29 in the 1400 block of North Bridge Street. Cuda was released on his own recognizance in accordance with current protocols, and his vehicle was towed.

DUI arrest

Yorkville police arrested Krzysztof E. Matczuk, 59, of the 700 block of Christopher Street, Plano, on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol after conducting a traffic stop at 10:39 p.m. May 30 in the area of River and Eldamain roads. Matczuk also was cited for improper lane use and operating an uninsured vehicle.

Package theft

Yorkville police are investigating a reported theft of a package taken from the front porch of the victim’s home at noon June 5 in the 100 block of Colonial Parkway.

Possession of alcohol

Yorkville police referred a juvenile to the Kendall County Court system after being found in possession of alcohol during a traffic stop conducted at 11:03 a.m. June 6 in the area of McHugh Road and Farmstead Drive.

Fraud

Yorkville police are investigating a report of fraud made at 5 p.m. June 5 in the 1000 block of Freemont Street. The victim reportedly purchased two trailers using gift cards online in what was determined to be a fraudulent purchase, and lost $3,400.
