Brookfield Zoo to reopen July 1

BROOKFIELD - Zoos are included in Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois Reopening plan. As a result, Brookfield Zoo will reopen its gates to members on July 1.

In order to provide adequate social distancing, reserved-timed tickets will be required for members and guests. The zoo will announce this ticket reservation system as soon as it's ready.

The health and safety of the zoo's animals, staff, members, guests and volunteers is a priority. During the temporary closure, the zoo has been closely following the guidelines set forth by local, state and federal government agencies, and has made a number of changes to daily operations. Patrons can familiarize themselves with the plan at CZS.org/KnowBeforeYouGo.

All memberships sold during the closure are being printed and mailed. All current memberships, as of March 2020, have been extended to accommodate for the amount of the time the park has been closed. This extension is automatic and is reflected in the member database. New material will not be sent since the zoos moving to an online reservation system.
