HorsePower Therapeutic Riding in St. Charles seeks volunteers

Mandatory orientation scheduled for July 16

ST. CHARLES – HorsePower Therapeutic Riding in St. Charles is hosting a volunteer orientation session on Tuesday, July 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Honey Bridge Ranch, 6N917 Route 25, which is next to Brewster Creek Forest Preserve. All volunteers must be 14 years old and minors will need parents to sign a waiver.

According to a news release, volunteers will help with stable chores, horse training, grooming, tacking, side-walking, horse-leading and helping participants. Applicants must be able to attend the orientation, and have availability to volunteer on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Program volunteers should have a minimum of two years of horse experience, while Support and Critter Connections volunteers do not need horse experience and can assist with other tasks.
