Kendall County Sheriff's Office identifies victims in rural Yorkville crash

The Kendall County Sheriff's Office has identified the victims of a double fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred east of Yorkville late Tuesday as Jeremy Simkowski, 46, of the 300 block of Country Drive, Yorkville, and Miguel Uribe a 25, of the 800 block of Hedgerow Court, Oswego.

In a press release police identified Simkowski as the driver of the vehicle and Uribe as the vehicle's only other occupant. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

In a press release, police said deputies were summoned at 10:56 p.m. June 30 to the area of Reservation Road and Country Drive on a report of single vehicle crash.

Police said deputies located a vehicle in the tree line with significant damage. Police said their initial investigation determined that the vehicle had been traveling westbound on Reservation Road when it left the roadway and struck a tree.

Oswego police assisted county sheriff's deputies at the crash scene.
