David and Alice Schindel will note 65th wedding anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. David Schindel of Tiskilwa will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary.

David Schindel and the former Alice Polson were married July 24, 1955, at the First Lutheran Church in Princeton by the Rev. Karl Nelson. Attending the couple were Rayona (Schindel) Morris, matron of honor; Pat (Brigham) Polson, bridesmaid; Marilyn (Madsen) Pattelli, flower girl; Mervin Polson, best man; Merle Polson, groomsman; and Gary Polson, ring bearer.

David retired in 1998 after 45 years working as a tool and die maker at Harper-Wyman in Princeton. Alice retired in 1999 after 22 years as a cafeteria worker at Princeton High School. They are both active members of the First Congregational Church of Bureau.

They are the parents of five children, Judy Schindel of St. Louis, Mo., Raymond (Margo) Schindel of Tiskilwa, Janice (Tom) Bickett of Tiskilwa, Joyce (Greg) Wallace of Walnut and Joan (Larry) Jackson of Princeton. They also have 13 grandchildren, Hailey (Eric) Schaefer, Austin Schindel, Jarek Elliott, Kenney Jones, Janelle Jones, Adam (Malinda) Bickett, Elaina Bickett, Zachary Wallace, Izabel Wallace, Julia Jones, Angelica Jones, Ben Jackson and Brody Jackson; and four great-grandchildren, Avery Sims, Raegan Schaefer, Mya Bickett and Violet Bickett.
