PERU — For 30 years, the Lori Janko Wilke State Farm Agency has served the community by addressing residents' insurance and financial service needs. On Friday, July 31, Janko Wilke’s office will host a community celebration to thank residents for their loyalty with a dessert selection and gifts for their customers.

The public is invited to stop by Janko Wilke’s office, 2025 Rock St. in Peru, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parking is available in the State Farm office lot and on Rock Street.

State Farm was founded in 1922.

Janko Wilke said she is proud to provide all of the standard insurance protection: auto, home, renters, life, health and bank to local residents. She uses her experience to go a step farther. She is passionate about helping clients build a lifelong plan, which includes reviewing customer assets and teaching about budgeting, liability coverage and saving for retirement with CDs and mutual funds. Janko Wilke’s team of five serves thousands of area families and businesses.

Janko Wilke graduated high school in 1982 from St. Bede Academy in Peru. She then graduated with honors from Loyola University in Chicago with an M.Ed. in community counseling, and from St. Mary’s College in Notre Dame with a degree in psychology.

She and her husband, Bill Wilke, have two grown children, Mason and Emma.

Visitors who stop by the office can say “hi” to Janko Wilke’s father, who is 93 years of age and still comes into the office every day. Janko Wilke said it’s no wonder where she developed her desire to serve her customers, because she learned from her father and three brothers. Her mother was a nurse and taught Janko Wilke the importance of taking care of the people in her life.
