STERLING – The CGH Health Foundation, which helps low-income individuals get medication, transportation, mental health counseling, mammograms, Phase 3 cardiac/pulmonary rehab, eyeglasses, dental care and health screenings, urges people dealing with the pandemic – economically, physically or mentally – to take advantage of its programs, and businesses and community members to donate to the effort.

“We’re here for you, whether you need assistance now or later,” said Dr. Nancy Tran, chairwoman of the foundation's annual fund drive. “Local individuals, businesses and clubs, churches and organizations make it possible each year with their contributions to give a boost to nearly 35,000 area children and adults.”

“You’ve Got a Friend” is the theme of this year's drive, which runs through April 30.

In addition to funding for its nearly 20 programs, the foundation is taking donations that will be matched dollar for dollar to help buy a 3-D Tomosynthesis mammography system for CGH Medical Center.

Call Executive Director Joan Hermes at 815-625-0400, ext. 5672, or go to www.cghmc.com/foundation to donate or for more information.
