Soil and Water Conservation District awards $1,000 scholarship

PRINCETON — The Bureau County Soil and Water Conservation District awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Cole Wright of Bradford.

Current and future college students from Bureau County were eligible to apply if pursuing a degree in a natural-resource-related field.

Wright received the award based on his academic merit and strong community involvement. Currently, Wright is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in agronomy from Iowa State University. Wright intends to use his degree teaching others how soil health influences crop production.
