Purse theft under investigation

Oswego police are investigating the theft of a purse that occurred at 12:20 p.m. Aug. 15 in the the 500 block of Fifth Street. Police said the purse contained credit cards, and the loss was estimated at $840.

One hurt in Douglas Road crash

Montgomery resident Cynthia Padilla, 18, suffered minor injuries when the SUV she was driving was involved in a crash at 8:38 p.m. Aug. 16 on Douglas and Saugatuck roads in Oswego, village police reported. Police said Padilla was transported to Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora. The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash, a juvenile, was not injured, police said.

Hit-and-run crash

Oswego police took a report of a hit-and-run crash that occurred at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 16 in the 2300 block of Route 34. Damage as a result of the crash was estimated at less than $1,500, police said.

Prescription stolen

Oswego police are investigating the theft of prescription medication that occurred between 10 p.m. and midnight Aug. 10 in the 1000 block of Douglas Road.

Purse theft reported

Oswego police investigating the theft of a purse from a 65-year-old woman that occurred at 1:10 p.m. Aug. 15 in the 2000 block of Route 34. Police said the purse contained credit cards and was valued at more than $400.

Domestic battery

Oswego police are investigating a report of a domestic battery that occurred at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 13 at a residence in the 700 block of Oxbow Avenue. No injuries were reported in the incident, according to police.

Oswego police are investigating a report of a domestic battery that occurred at 11:02 p.m. Aug. 11 in the 200 block of Springbrook Trail South. Police said no injuries were reported in the incident, but $80 was stolen and property damage is estimated at $280.

ID theft

A resident of the 500 block of Springbrook Trail South filed an identity theft report with Oswego police at 1:50 p.m. Aug. 11. Police said more than $500 in cash was stolen in the incident.
