ELBURN – The Elburn Lions Club is hosting its 27th annual Fall Classic All-Wheel Car Show on Sunday, Oct. 4 at Lions Park. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and ends at noon. Awards will be handed out at 3 p.m.
According to a news release from the Elburn Lions Club, between 300 and 400 cars and motorcycles take part in the event, which is held rain or shine.
The show will also feature participant judging for more than 30 classes and over 65 awards, 50/50 raffle tickets, a DJ and children's playground. Registration is $15 per vehicle until Sept. 19 and $20 at the gate.
Also as part of the festivities, a Saturday Driving Cruise for couples will be held Saturday, Oct. 3, followed by a steak dinner at the clubhouse. The cruise begins at 2 p.m., and returns at 5 p.m. for the dinner, which includes a cash bar. Cruise/dinner registration is $25 per person and the deadline is Sept. 19.
Proceeds from the car show helps the Lions Club donate and support many nonprofit organizations, including the USO of Illinois, Conley Outreach, as well as sponsor veterans on Freedom Flights and send kids to Camp Lions.
