Spring Valley Hall High School has three new staff members: Mary Donovan, Jen Love and Taylor Stacy.
Mary Donovan is the new Spanish I & II teacher. She worked as an ESL Teacher at Northwest Elementary School in La Salle for the past five years and an Adult Education ESL Instructor at Illinois Valley Community College for the past three years. According to Donovan, the best part about her previous two jobs was the small opportunities to engage in Spanish conversation. She is so excited to start doing that full-time and hopes to spread her love and passion for second language acquisition. She earned her Associates Degree from Illinois Valley Community College and Bachelor’s Degree from Illinois State University, emphasis in ESL and Spanish, endorsed in Foriegn Language Spanish K-12. Donovan will be co-coaching Devilettes with Lindsay Ferrari. Donovan is a Hall alumni and former Devilette.
Jen Love also has a prior connection to Hall. She spent time at Hall as school psychologist for the BMP Special Education Cooperative. Her other job experience includes school psychologist at Special School District/Ritenour School District. Love holds a B.S. in elementary education and psychology and S.S.P. in School Psychology. She will serve as Hall’s school psychologist/social-emotional support counselor.
New to Hall's school system is math teacher Taylor Stacy. Stacy was a junior high math teacher in Indiana and will be teaching Algebra I and core math at Hall. She is also the sophomore volleyball coach.
