Plainfield North Invite

Yorkville's Ryan Waugh shot a 4-under par 68 to claim medalist honors at the Plainfield North Invite on Monday at Naperbrook Golf Course.

Oswego East shot a combined score of 315 to take third at the tournament won by Lockport (305), with Plainfield North (313) second. Yorkville posted a 337. Oswego East's Gavin Hjelle took third overall, shooting a 71.

Rounding up Oswego East's scores were Camden Bonney (79), Michael Hugelier (82) and Ryan Bowen (83). Other Yorkville scores toward the team total were posted by Jonathan Waugh (75), who was fourth overall, Bryce Ward (95) and Nick Divito (99).

GIRLS GOLF

Yorkville

Mia Natividad shot a 42 to claim medalist honors, and the Foxes topped Plainfield Central 202-242 in their season-opening match Monday. Laine Leonard was second with a 51, Alexis Nelson third with a 52 and Mandie Battaglia rounded out the scoring with a 57.

Plano

The Reapers shot a 226 in their season-opening match with Seneca and Somonauk at Cedardell. Faith Malloy shot Plano's low round of 51, followed by Hayden Flodstrom (56), Elizabeth Busboom (59) and Kendal Flodstrom (60).

Sandwich

The Indians shot a 287 in dropping their season-opening match to Dixon, who shot a combined 187 at Edgebrook Golf Course. Sandwich was led by Alijah Campbell, who shot a 45. Morgan Ross added 49, Grace Donahue a 53 and Hanna Reedy a 60.
