A newly-constructed 7-11 convenience store and Mobil-branded gas station are expected to open soon at the intersection of Route 71 and Washington Street in Oswego, according to Village Administrator Dan Di Santo.
Di Santo said this week that while he did not have a set opening date, he has been informed that the store operators are waiting on an internet connection to run the store's point of sales system.
As previously reported in the Ledger, the 24-hour gas station and convenience store will have a right-in/right-out access for motorists from Route 71, with full access from Washington Street.
Until a franchisee is secured, the location will be run by the corporate office. The store is expected to employ between 10 and 15 people.
The store site had previously been occupied by an industrial building.
