OREGON – Ogle County Circuit Judge John B. Roe IV has been appointed to the Supreme Court Committee on Juvenile Courts.

"I am honored to be selected to serve on the Supreme Court Committee on Juvenile Courts," Roe said in a press release. "I look forward to the opportunity to improve the effectiveness of the juvenile court system as a whole."

The Supreme Court Committee on Juvenile Courts reviews and makes recommendations on matters affecting juvenile law and juvenile courts, including child protection and delinquency systems.

The committee will review, analyze and examine the impact of legislation and case law as it relates to juvenile law and procedures and any aspect of the juvenile court process.

15th Judicial Circuit Chief Judge Robert Hanson, who nominated Roe for the committee, was pleased Roe was selected over other qualified judges.

"I am very confident Judge Roe's appointment to the Supreme Court Committee on Juvenile Courts will be of great assistance to the Supreme Court as they address juvenile court issues," Hanson said.
