Prep Sports Roundup for Saturday, Sept. 12: Nick Fisch, Ned Kalata lead Montini to DePaul Prep Invite

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

DePaul Prep Invite

Montini's Nick Fisch won the race in 16:32.65, leading five Broncos in the top 10 to the championship of the DePaul Prep Invite. Other Broncos factoring in the scoring were Ned Kalata (fourth, 17:13.02), Tommy May (seventh, 17:36.01), Mick Flannery (eighth, 17:36.58) and Lupe Herrmann (ninth, 17:37.58).

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY

Glenbard West 25, Lyons 30

Audrey Allman and Delaney Engel finished second and third to lead the Hilltoppers to a dual meet win with Lyons. Lyons' Kate Dickman won the race in 17:57.4 over three miles, with Allman (18:14) and Engel (18:26) next. LT sophomore Catherine Sommerfeld (18:54) was fourth.

Downers Grove South 15, Leyden 50

Junior Kelsey Casella (18:59 for three miles) and senior Rebecca Diddia (19:31) led the top finishers for the Mustangs in a dual win over Leyden in Northlake.

South Elgin 16, Glenbard South 40

Ellie Stewart (fifth, 21:28) paced the Raiders, followed by Lauren Price (seventh, 21:50), Kylie DeNardo (eighth, 22:02), Alex Gonzalez (ninth, 22:12) and MaryKate Pinkelman (11th, 23:03).
