Earlville school district announces positive COVID-19 case

School officials ID-ing those who were potentially exposed to the virus

Earlville school officials are working with the La Salle County Health Department to place staff members and students in quarantine for 14 days who had close contact with an individual who tested positive for COVID-19.

School officials issued the notice Tuesday, saying they will continue to monitor students and staff for signs or symptoms of illnesses. The school also will undergo a deep clean and disinfection in the area affected by the potential exposure.

If families in the district are not contacted by the school or the health department, then their child has not identified as a close contact and should attend school as normal.

Anyone with questions or concerns should call the school at 815-246-8361.
